SoilTribes represented at the Education for Climate Day 2025
On October 23, 2025, SoilTribes took center stage at the Education for Climate Day 2025, a hybrid event hosted by the European Commission in Brussels and online. Represented by Silvia Diazzi, Communications and Dissemination Manager at Youthmakers Hub, the project joined a vibrant community of over 300 participants, including EU officials, educators, researchers, NGOs, and project leaders.
The event, themed “Education for Climate: Learning to Prepare,” focused on how education can drive climate resilience and sustainability across Europe.
During the event, SoilTribes was recognized as a leading initiative under the EU Mission Soil and celebrated for its innovative approach to green education and citizen engagement. The project was honored with the Education for Climate Award 2025, a testament to its impactful contributions in promoting soil literacy and empowering communities to take action for the environment.
The recognition further energizes SoilTribes’ mission to expand climate literacy and community-driven soil health initiatives throughout Europe. The event featured active panel discussions, a Q&A, and real-time engagement through live chat, reflecting the high level of interest and interaction among attendees.
Education for Climate Day 2025 provided a valuable platform for SoilTribes to showcase its role in advancing sustainability education, contribute to critical policy dialogue, and represent the EU Mission Soil citizen engagement cluster within the broader Education for Climate movement. As the project continues to grow, it remains committed to cultivating knowledge, resilience, and action.
