Italy

About
Art, science and storytelling to explore soil and territory.
Grounded Connections is a six-month interdisciplinary initiative led by Caterina Capri in Fidenza, Italy, focused on the Po Valley. It combines soil science, art, storytelling, workshops, microscopy, field observations, sound, images, text, and participatory performance to make the invisible life of soil perceptible. The project responds to soil sealing, intensive agriculture, degradation, and public disconnection from soil. Its open-access visual, sound, and written outputs will support wider awareness and new community imaginaries around soil as a living system.
