About
Supporting early-stage and experimental soil initiatives.
SOIL ARK: Shaping Soil Futures Together is a 12-month participatory initiative led by the Society of Soil Experts and Land Managers of Bukovina “TERRA” in Ukraine. It establishes two interconnected Living Soil Museums in Poltava and Kamianets-Podilskyi, combining soil science, art, citizen science, audiovisual storytelling, mobile soil monitoring, and community workshops. Activities include Soil as Memory, plein air painting, Soils Under Stress, and the Echoes of Soil micro-residency. The project transforms soils into visible heritage and supports stewardship in degraded and war-affected contexts.
