SoilTribes Meet-up #3: Enhancing Soil Health and Carbon Stocks

On the 30th of September, the third SoilTribes Meet-Up, part of the Community of Practice (CoP) webinar series, brought together researchers, innovators, Living Labs, and Lighthouses to exchange knowledge and strengthen collaboration within the EU Mission Soil ecosystem.

This session focused on enhancing soil health and carbon stocks, exploring technological and community-based approaches to improve soil organic carbon and advance food security. Participants discussed how scientific innovation can drive sustainable solutions for healthier soils and more resilient communities.

Key highlights included exploring low-temperature plasma technology and presenting a real-time soil health dashboard in Kenya that links soil monitoring to food security strategies. The meet-up concluded with a joint reflection on strengthening carbon stocks and scaling soil health solutions.

By fostering dialogue and sharing innovative practices, SoilTribes continues to reinforce its role as a hub for collaboration, connecting earth advocates, scientists, and Mission Soil family projects.
